Quick Q&A

What is the difference between Interrail and Eurail?

Interrail Passes are for European residents only. But non-residents can purchase a Eurail Pass, which works the same way.

How does it work?

First things first, you need to pick a pass that fits your plans. There are two options: TheGlobal Pass, which allows you to travel in 30 European countries and the One Country Pass, which covers one single country. Eurail travellers have a third choice, the Select Pass, a combination of up to four bordering countries.

Prices depend on the period of validity and whether you choose first or second class. There are special prices for young people under 27, seniors and families travelling with children. Passes can be purchased online or in bigger European train stations.

Note that you might need to pay a fee for seat reservation in high speed or night trains. Also, you can’t use the Interrail ticket in your country of residence.

More detailed explanations on how to use the pass can be found on www.interrail.eu or www.eurail.com.

The perfect route?

There is no such thing as a perfect route. You can find endless inspiration on the Internet but choose your unique itinerary, prioritise and visit places you always wanted to see.
